Introducing the Distribution Project with my project partner Toren Andersen, a way for restaurants to connect with nonprofits to donate their leftover foods instead of wasting the food. The Distribution Project will be an add-on to Kids4Community where restaurants can “post” their food that would otherwise be wasted and wait for nonprofits to “claim” the food and organize a time for their trusted volunteers to pick up the food. Now although many restaurants know many nonprofits, they face problems in driving to the nonprofit to drop off food and contacting the nonprofit which is extra work. With the Distribution Project, all the restaurant has to do is post their food and let the nonprofit claim it and have their volunteers pick up the food. Also, the fact that nonprofits have their trusted volunteers pick up the food allows nonprofits to have more trust in the system.

Turkish Muslims in Greece say their rights as a minority are being slowly taken away by the state. About 150-thousand members of the community live in the region of Western Thrace. And as Caitlin McGee reports from Xanthi, their community-elected religious leaders are now no longer recognised by the government.
