Eligible voters across Europe have begun to cast their ballots in Turkey's general election. It is estimated that as many as 3.5 million Turks living abroad can participate in the votes both for President and for a new Parliament. The largest Turkish community is in Germany.

Canada awarded Medal of Bravery to Turkish restaurant owner Riza Kasikcioglu, for saving half a dozen lives in a fire at an apartment complex in Edmonton Jan.19, 2017. Kasikcioglu was hospitalized after his heroic effort. His award ceremony was held on June 2018.

Tokyo Camii is visited by, not only Tokyo residents, but also by foreign tourists. Either they come as pilgrims who want to pray, or just look at the beauty of the architecture.
