France 24: Turkish offensive in Syria: Assad's forces enter Afrin to aid Kurds against Turks. State TV and UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that pro-Syrian government forces armed with heavy machine guns could be seen entering the area to help the Kurds fight back.
