Turkey-Greece Relations: Relations between the two countries deteriorate. Two uninhabited islands in the Aegean Sea have once again become a battleground between Turkey and Greece. The dispute over who owns Kardak has been brewing between the two counties for more than 20 years. The 20-year dispute over the Kardak islands is testing an already tense relationship. Turkey's Border Mission: Local council established in Afrin. The city and region of Afrin in northern Syria has taken an important step politically. It was liberated by Turkish troops last month as part of operation olive branch. Now a council that will run the area has come together for the first time. It will consist of 20 members, eleven are Kurdish, eight of them are Syrian Arabs, and one Turkman. And it needs to get to work straight away. Francis Collings has more.

The trial will resume in Istanbul for eight men accused of plotting Turkey's failed 2016 coup.. During the four days of proceedings, Turkey says it will present fresh evidence that proves the group tried to overthrow President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's government.
