By 2008, the war in Iraq had become more unpredictable than ever and the change in the US administration started a period of uncertainty about Turkish-American relations. Turkey at the time was going through a period of political turmoil as well. 

It was a time when sharing the most basic newsbit on Turkey on social media was perceived as a political stance. We did not want to risk our publication, nor our readers labeled as partisans to any one political ideology. 

As a cautionary step, we suspended our publishing work in 2008 and focused on branding and marketing services for the International Turkish Community.
